Be The Love Teamed Up with Be Love Farm and City of Refuge

Such a wonderful Labor of Love! In April 2021, Be The Love teamed up with Be Love Farm and City of Refuge of Sacramento to host a day at the Be Love Farm for women and children of Solano county who have been victims of human trafficking.

Leading up to the event, Gene Braden, co-founder of Be the Love, spent a majority of his time in the fields at Be Love Farm, preparing the land for planting popcorn seed. Part of the preparation served to till the soil and setup the irrigation. On the day of the event, women and children of all walks of life came together at the Be Love Farm and spent a day at the farm planting popcorn in their new overalls (A donation made possible by Ace Hardware of Vacaville, California. A huge thank you!). To top off the day, the women and children were welcomed to a nice afternoon lunch served with lots of love and laughter. All will be able to come back to the farm in September to harvest what they sowed!

This event wouldn’t have been made possible without the generous donations of those within the community:
